This dataset includes intracellular recordings from neurons in the anterior insular cortex of macaque monkeys. Postsynaptic currents were measured, comprising miniature and spontaneous excitatory and inhibitory postsynaptic currents (E/IPSCs) recorded from von Economo neurons (VENs) and pyramidal cells (PCs).
